Propylea japonica(Thunberg) belongs to Coleoptera, Carabidae, Coccinellidae, Propylaea,Mulsant. It is resistant to high temperature and its'hunger resistance is great. It is an important value of the predator of insect resource, which distributes lots of aphids, such as: Myzus persicae (Sulzer), Rhopolosiphum Padi(L.), Aphis gossypii (Glover) and so on. It can prey on Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner), Empoasca biguttula(Shiraki, Nilaparvata lugens(Stal), Cnaphalocrocis medinalis(Güenée)in the most northern provinces of China .In this paper, a new method was used to choose different germplasm resources of P. japonica, then through a computer-monitored flight-mill system, some flight strength targets of the 10th generation were texted, and the predation number of two different populations to two kinds of different pests were compared, the fecundity and spread abilities of the two populations were also be texted. All the work were done in order to comprehensive evaluation of two different flight force of P. japonica in predation force beetles population and diffusion, fertility, the differences of the power and the use of natural enemies to advantage lay a theoretical and practical basis.1.Based on the behavior characteristics of Propylea japonica (Thunberg) adults, a method which called"separated by different drop height"to choose different flight ability of the adults was utilized, and adults through this method one generation after another until the 10th generation were colonized in the lab. Then according to the test with a computer-monitored flight-mill system in laboratory, the females'flight ability of Sa10-population and Sc10-population were tested. (the Sa10-population pointed to the 10th generation of adults which couldn't fly or had low flight abilities and the population of Sc10 was the control group), the flight ability obtain flight time, grounding time, flight distance and flight speed. The results showed that except average flight time, all other indexes of Sa10 and Sc10 were significant differences. The total flight distance, the average flight distance, flight time, the biggest flight speed and the average flight speed of females of Sa10 were all lower than that of Sc10. But the grounding time of Sa10 was 1.77 times higher than that of Sc10, and the average grounding time of Sa10 was 7 times higher than that of Sc10. It was found that the the results through the two different methods is inosculate, and it presented preliminary proof the method to choose the different flight abilities of Propylea japonica (Thunberg) adults is feasible. We can also use the method to choose other similar natural enemies based on their different flight abilities, then the achievement can provide scientific basis for the protection and rational utilization of natural enemy and control the mount of pests in the specific area.2.The experiment were done to text the functional response of predation on Megoura japonica (Matsumura) and B-Biotype Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius) the females of Sa10 which owned low flight ability and females of Sc10 which was the control group with different extents of starvation, and the results were all the unctional response belonged to the type of HollingⅡ, but the parameters were different. Then prey analysis of variance under different numbers of Megoura japonica (Matsumura) and B-Biotype Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius) in different groups, the rusults showed that the predacious amount of Megoura japonica (Matsumura) and B-Biotype Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius)by females of Sa10 and Sc10 predators of different extent of starvation within 24hrs had no significant difference. So the strength of the flight capacity of beetles turtles profiling predation abilities caused no influence.3.The continuous week the quantity and the number of eggs hatch determination of Sa10 and Sc10 were texted, the results showed that different flight force of female adult beetles turtles profiling the eggs hatch a week there were quantities and no significant difference in the rate, and all hatching were about 93 percent.4.The flight force of Sa10 and Sc10 were texted respectively, the results showed that all adults of Sa10 and Sc10 climbed to the top of the stick after released, among them, 54.1% in a population of Sa10 climbed to the top of the great wings, but after the phenomenon couldn't fly, the rest were in great top flight and all volant down around the landing in release points, including a sixteen boxes landed in the adult bio-mimetic distance of four grid release some recent E5, E6, F5 F6 inside, and While the adult population well as Sc10 in climbed to the top of the stick, all wings upward or parallel to the tent wall GongPeng flight, flying direction, no significant regularity.
