Expression Of MMP-7 And MMP-9 In Endometrioid Adenocarcinoma And Its Clinical Significance

Objective:The aim of this study was to analyze matrix metalloproteinase-7(MMP-7) and matrix metalloproteinase-9’s(MMP-9) expression in endometrial adenocarcinoma and explore its clinical significance.Methods:The expression of MMP-7 and MMP-9 were detected in 48 cases of pathologically diagnosed patients with endometrial cancer, 26 patients with atypical endometrial hyperplasia, 22 patients with endometrial hyperplasia, 24 cases of patients with uterine fibroids total hysterectomy from June 2012 to May 2014 in Qingzhou People’s hospital by immunohistochemical SP method. The relationship between MMP-7, MMP-9 and the clinicopathological factors of endometrial adenocarcinoma was analyzed.Results:1.MMP-7 and MMP-9 were expressed mainly in the cytoplasm of endometrial epithelial cells, brown, yellow and yellowish granules; The MMP-7 and MMP-9 scores in endometrial carcinoma tissue were significantly higher than normal endometrium,endometrial hyperplasia and atypical endometrial hyperplasia tissue(P<0.05).2. MMP-7 and MMP-9 could be expressed in endometrial cancer tissue, endometrial hyperplasia tissues and normal endometrial tissue. MMP-7 and MMP-9 in endometrial carcinoma positive expression rate were 77.08%, 81.25%, MMP-7 and MMP-9 in endometrial hyperplasia positive expression rate were 22.73%, 22.73%, MMP-7 and MMP-9 in normal endometrial positive expression rate were 12.50%, 12.50%. Their expression in endometrial carcinoma were significantly higher than that in normal endometrium, endometrial hyperplasia and atypical endometrial hyperplasia tissue(P<0.05).3. The MMP-7, MMP-9 were negatively correlated with the surgical staging of endometrial cancer(r=-0.573,-0.524, P<0.05), and positively with lymph node metastasis(r=0.521, 0.568, P<0.05); the expression of MMP-7 was positively correlated withMMP-9 in endometrial carcinoma(r=0.608, P<0.05).Conclusion:1. It can be a major manifestation of early endometrial cancer when MMP-7 and MMP-9 expressed at the same time,and the simultaneous detection of MMP-7 and MMP-9 can improve early diagnosis of endometrial cancer.2. The expression of MMP-9 and MMP-7 was related to the differentiation degree,pathology and lymph node metastasis in endometrial adenocarcinoma tissuss. At the same time, the detection of the expression of MMP-9 and MMP-7 in endometrial adenocarcinoma has important clinical value for the treatment and prognosis of patients.
