Objective:To compare the corpus callosum length (CC-L) and middle cerebral artery hemodynamic parameters (MCA) in full-term neonatal with different gestational week, and to discuss the value of these parameters in evaluation of neonatal brain development.Methods:Ninety-seven neonates, borned between 37w-40w+6d, were enrolled in this prospective study. The mean gestational age and the mean weight were 3374g+412g and 39.29w±1.14w.They were divided into 37w-38w+6d group (A group) 44 cases and 39w-40w+6d group (B group) 53 cases according to the gestational weeks. All neonates for cranial ultrasound examination within 24 hours after birth, measured the CC-L and MCA hemodynamic parameters and compared the two groups differences in CC-L and MCA hemodynamic parameters. Results:A group of neonates mean gestational wee、mean weight、mean CC-Land middle cerebral artery mean velocity (MCA-mV) were 38.20±0.67 w、3170±406 g、43.68±1.33mm and 28.03±5.54 cm/s, B group of neonates mean gestational week、mean weight、mean CC-L, MCA-mV were 39.98±0.67 w、3495±365 g、44.89±2.27 mm and 32.01±5.41 cm/s, B group of neonatal mean weight,、mean CC-L and MCA-mV were higher than A group (P<0.05). And in full-term neonates the length of corpus callosum and MCA-mV were not significantly correlated with body weight, gender, mode of production. Conclusion:Compared pregnant 39w-40w+6d neonates CC-L is longer and MCA-mV is faster than pregnant 37w-38w+6d neonates. Suggested that 39w-40w+6d neonates brain development are better than 37w-38w+6d neonates. In no case should be necessary, to avoid unnecessary caesarean section before 39w; Normal newborns in pregnancy of more than 37w, the weight is not the important factor in brain development, Pregnant women in late pregnancy in the appropriate control weight, avoid factors of gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension and other causes of fetal macrosomia.
