Purpose：: This paper organized and analyzed literature related to infertilitythrough statistics software and the data mining method to summarize its syndromedifferentiation and treating regularity from the kidney.Providing theoreticalbasis for clinical treatment of sterility.Material and method: Collecting Chinese medical record class literatureabout sterility tally to inclusion standard in CNKI from1972to2012integratesthe, using the excel software to establish database. Treatment based ontonifying the kidney,supplemented by regulating qi and activating blood throughassociated relationship between five Zang-organs.2Frequency analysis for drugs display that most of the high-frequency drugsto treat infertility go into kidney, with the effect of reinforcing kidney andessence; in terms of classification of syndromes, infertility is primarily on kidney deficiency. Treating infertility from kidney has practical andtheoretical significance according to data analysis.3Factor analysis showed that when treating infertility, method of tonifyingkidney is commonly used, and often supplemented by regulating Qi, activatingblood, invigorating the spleen and clearing dampness, suggesting thatpathogenesis of infertility is based on of kidney deficiency, mostly of Qistagnation and blood stasis syndrome.4Associated rules analysis of viscera position, single drug, and paired drug,and drug groups and types displayed that relationship between infertility andkidney belongs to strong association, and all the strong correlation herbs arebased on reinforcing kidney and essence, prompting that kidney essencedeficiency is the pathological foundation of infertility.And reinforcing kidneyessence is considered to be the major method in treating infertility.
