Background:Depression refers to a significant and lasting low mood, decreased activity, slow thinking and cognitive function as the main clinical features of mental disorder.Its incidence, high suicide rate, great harm.Chinese medicine for the treatment of depressing has been recognized, conducted syndrome type based on clinical manifestations in patients with depression, and thus divide certificate of governance. However, if there are differences in the internal mechanism of biological and radiology of the brain function in depression patients with different syndromes? Using fMRI technology to analyze patients with kidney deficiency and liver stagnation major depressive syndromes in TCM, and study their differences in terms of resting state functional imaging of the brain, has important medical value and social significance.Objective:To use fMRI technology, kidney deficiency and liver stagnation type moderate depression in patients with depression in the resting state functional brain imaging studies, choose a more recognized indicators, compared with the normal people,studying effects of different TCM syndromes of brain functional imaging performance, suggesting different TCM syndrome types reflected in brain functional areas.Methods:Using the 3.0T MRI scanner (GE/SignaHDe) of Tl-weighted single-shot echo-planar imaging (EPI) sequence scan the entire head to exclude organic lesions, then scanned for resting state kidney deficiency and Liver Depression moderate depression patients and controls of functional brain imaging, and finally 3D scanning. By running on Matlab2013a SPM8, REST and other packages to correct head movement, to the linear drift, the low-amplitude (ALFF) after spatial normalization methods of data analysis processing and filtering process, get differences of these two depressive syndromes in resting state brain function area image. In this study, evaluation data analyzed using SPSS 17.0 software.Result:1.The kidney deficiency and liver stagnation type depression group and the healthy control group between gender, age, years of education and intelligence were no significant differences,but in the HAMD17 item scale and kidney or liver depression scale were significantly differences.2.Kidney deficiency and liver stagnation type of depression group between gender, age, years of education and intelligence were no significant differences, but there are significant differences in the HAMD17 item scale.3.Kidney deficiency type depression group than healthy controls in resting state ALFF of enhancing activation brain is the Parietal-Sup-L.4.Liver stagnation type depression group than healthy controls group in resting state ALFF activate brain regions to enhance are the Insula-L, the Frontal-Sup-Medial-L, the Parietal-Inf-L. the Temporal-Mid-R and the SupraMarginal-R.5. Liver stagnation type depression than kidney deficiency type depression group in resting stateALFF activate enhanced brain regions are located on the left hemisphere of the brain, including the insula, the Frontal-Sup-Medial and Cingulum-Mid.Conclusion:1. By using the resting state fMRI technology and ALFF analytical method, reveals the different TCM syndrome type of depression in patients with brain function activities there is a difference.2. Kidney group under the resting state of enhancing activation brain is the Parietal-Sup-L,suggesting that kidney deficiency in patients with depression after attention network activity was related to traditional Chinese medicine "kidney collect essence and stay will" theory.3. Liver Depression in the resting state activate brain regions to enhance are the Insula-L, the Frontal-Sup-Medial-L, the Parietal-Inf-L, the Temporal-Mid-R and the SupraMarginal-R, proofing liver depression in patients with depression in emotional processing and emotional integration was related to"LIVER collected soul, dispersion, reconcile emotion" theory.
