| BackgroundThe gradual improvement of living standards has seen some changes in people’s health concept, which emphasizes an important role of self health care. The concept of "preventive treatment" in TCM enjoys great popularity. There is a strong demand for TCM culture and TCM health knowledge. Especially since the implementation of the "Twelfth Five Year Plan", Chinese government has been placing great attention on popularizing TCM culture. Government’s vision of promoting traditional culture and controlling health expenditure has brought TCM culture popularization onto policy agenda, with a series of government documents focusing on this topic. But there are a series of problems of the content of the TCM culture popularization of science communication, such as dissemination of content homogeneity, contents lack of system, these problems brought serious obstacles to the public to correctly understand TCM information and accept TCM service. The study found there was no systematic TCM culture popularization of science knowledge framework.ObjectivesReferences the classification of TCM health literacy, health literacy, scientific literacy, cultural literacy and specific knowledge basis, establish a scientific classification for TCM culture popularization of science knowledge framework, and formed a set of system, to enhance the citizens of TCM health care quality, promote the public understanding of TCM knowledge, shaping the TCM’s public image, and promote the healthy development of TCM.Contents and methodsThrough literature, comparative the classification of scientific literacy, health literacy, TCM health literacy, cultural literacy research, scientifically determined the classification of TCM culture popularization of science knowledge framework. On the basis of previous study, combining knowledge item of TCM health literacy, health literacy, scientific literacy, cultural literacy and expert interview to supply and improve the TCM culture popularization of science knowledge evaluation framework. Using the Delphi, consult experts view and revise the TCM culture popularization of science knowledge framework.Results(1) The evaluation framework comprises five major assessment indicators, namely TCM scientific thought, TCM science methods, common TCM self care skills, TCM spirit and culture, TCM and social relationship; together with 100 knowledge elements:5 first level,45 second level and 66 third level.(2) According to the study, select 26 experts with rich theory and practice of TCM experience, background of multi object as a consultant, from a number of clinical, research, education, science, media, management etc. The higher cognitive degree of the field experts, the overall index experts familiar with the degree of 0.85, familiarity with each index is greater than 0.80, judgment based on the mean value is 0.92, more than 0.88, authority coefficient is 0.88, more than 0.80. The evaluation results are consistent, W=0.362 (x 2=876.9,P<0.000)(3) Through Delphi evaluate the necessity degree of each index. Average is 4.21, fluctuate between 3.23 to 4.77, the coefficient of variation in the [0.09,0.33] range. The evaluation standard is determined as the mean value of >3.5 screening and the coefficient of variation is less than or equal to 0.30. According to the evaluation results, delete 13 second levels indicators: the basic knowledge of TCM qigong, TCM Classics, TCM and cultural relics, TCM and historical sites, TCM and landscape architecture, TCM cultural symbols, TCM and literature, TCM and art, TCM and international relations, TCM Chinese national development policy, overview of TCM policies and regulations, overview of TCM industry bodies, the research of dynamic information of TCM,(4) Combined with expert advice to establish the TCM culture popularization of science knowledge system, including 5 first level,34 second level,69 third level, a total of 91 indicators.ConclusionThis research finally scientific establishment the TCM culture popularization of science knowledge system framework, consists of5 level indicators, namely TCM discipline thought, TCM discipline methods, common TCM self care skills, TCM spirit and culture, TCM and social relations, and 34 secondary indicators,69 third level indicators, a total of 91 indicators. The TCM culture popularization of science knowledge system framework contains comprehensive content, have high practical value.
