Study On The Relationship Between Chronic Tension Headache And Sleep Disorders

Objective:to study the relationship between CTTH(chronic tension type headache) and sleep disturbance, evaluate the influence of sleep disturbance and CTTH occurring, developing and pathophysiology.Method:according to the diagnostic criteria of International Headache Society2004ISH-Ⅱ, select141CTTH patients which are from our neurology department in or out hospital during2012,4-2013,8. According headache level, the patients will be divided into three groups:mild, moderate and serious. Age, sex, sleep disturbance, headache levels will be researched and analysis the aetiological agent of sleep disorders and CTTH. The relationship of sleep disturbance and headache level will be studyed.Results:The insomnia incidence rate of CTTH is49.6%, which is statistically significant to the incidence rate of normal people9.4%from Yu shou chen’ research (X2=153.63P <0.001). The insomnia incidence rate of moderate and serious patients is higher than the mild patients (X2=11.017P<0.05).There is no relationship between insomnia and sex, family history of CTTH patients.Conclusions:There is obvious relationship between CTTH and sleep disturbance. Sleep disturbance is probably the important cause of CTTH. Clinic doctors should pay attention to the sleep problems of CTTH patients. Treating sleep disturbance is probably good to CTTH patients.
