Clinical Observation Of PKRP Combined With Endocrine Therapy For Advanced Prostate Cancer With BOO

Objective:To evaluate the effects of PKRP combined with hormonal treatment in patients with bladder outlet obstruction included by advanced prostate cancer.Methods:We collected the data of47advanced prostate cancer patients complicated with bladder outlet obstruction who were treated by PKRP combined with hormonal treatment at Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from February2012to January2014. The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), Quality of Life(QOL),Residual Urine Volume (RU),Maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax)and PSA were selected and observed before and after treatment.All the data were analysed through statical analysis.Results:All the surgeries were successful and the treatments can improve the lower urinary tract symptoms in patients. Temporary incontinence occurred to2patients, ostealgia eased for8patients,radionuclide bone scanning in bone metastases significantly narrowed for19patiets, bone metastasis disappeared for3patients. IPSS, Qmax, QOL and RU improved while PSA went down after the treatments.Conclusions:PKRP combined with hormonal treatment are effective to improve the life quality of advanced prostate cancer patients, can relieve the bladder outlet obstruction symptoms,and it is a important procedure for advanced prostate cancer patients complicated with bladder outlet obstruction.
