| The research on the aetiological characters of Eperythrozoon Suis (E.suis) mainly contained the characteristics of chromaticity, morphology, in vitro maintenance and the effect of drug treatment in the paper. After collection the swine blood infected with E.suis , the standard manufacture of blood smear was studied carefully and the method of blood corpuscle stain was modified by M-Wright's staining method without deposit of dyestuff meanwhile the campus visualis of optical microscope was very clear, E.suis is the blove polymorphic microbe by optical microscope. The shapes of sphericity, circularity and disc are the main form of E.suis (0.2 to1.0μm in size).The surface of erythrocytes is grasped by the cilias of larger E.suis which proliferate by the budding of small immature form by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The preliminary research on the cultivation of E.suis was experimented by inoculating it to SI-RPMI-1640, DMEM and PPLO media at 37℃ after manipulating the sterile collection of swine blood infected with E.suis, the results showed the E.suis could reproduce in above media according to the infection rate of erythrocytes of swine by M-Wright's staining method. The highest percentage of parasitized erythrocytes got to 29.6% in SI-RPMI-1640 medium after being cultivated 28h, 16.7% and 15.6% were the highest percentage of the infection rate of erythrocytes in PPLO medium and DMEM after being cultivated 12hr, respectively. The clinical effect of drug treatment was observed by optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy and long-acting oxytetracycline injection and Berenil were effective to prevent and cure the piglets infected with E.suis in certain degree, however, penicillin and streptomycin were invalid to treat it at all. The total number of piglets was 316 and 62.0% was of subclinical infection rate of pig from some nurseries of Sichuan province and Chongqing by M-Wright's staining method. |
