the European sorbus seeds of 4 species, which in the same genus, were used as the esperiment material to obtain the bacterialess shoots. By using these shoots as the initial explants, the stem-tip regeneration system of 4 speices, the buds induction medium of R1 leaf and the high rooting rate medium of R2,R4 were established. In the same time, some factors about rooting were studied to bring up the rooting rate of some difficult rooting sorbus. The result showed that the rooting rates of three species were all increased by the means of darkness and two-step rooting. R2 is the most remarkable one in the three of them. Its rooting rate was brought up from 16.6% to 67.9%. Some other factors like shoot age, sucrous were also been analysised. The activities of IAAO, POD and PPO in four different rooting ablity sorbus were investigated according to the time. The result showed that the amount of the enzyme is not the key factor to root, but the trends of them. When IAAO and POD are at the lower position of the activity curves benefit the rooting. It also conclued that the original activities of the enzyme in the shoot maybe the most important factor, which dedermine the rooting ability. Soluble protein in different rooting ability sorbus, which surveied by PAGE, showed some specific protein band was arised or disappear in R2 and R4 probably associate with the rooting.
