240 Haline White Chickens, being clinical healthy, were randomly divided into 6 groups, 40 for each group. Group 1 was the control and Group 2 to 6, the experimental groups. IBDV antibodies in serum samples of all chickens were negative at 20-day-age. From 24-day-age to the end of experiment, group 1 and 4 fed a basic diet, group 2 and 5 fed a basic diet with 0.1% RNA, and group 3 and 6 fed a basic diet with 0.2% RNA. Group 4 to 6 were infected by IBDV (0.3ml each) at 27-day-age. Blood samples were taken from heart when the chickens were 30,33,36,39 and 42-day-age respectively, and transformation of lymphocyte (TL), the activity of SOD, the contents of MDA, UA, IgA, IgG and IgM in serum, and the weights of thymus and Bursa of Fabricius were determined. The results were as follows: 1.TL and the activity of SOD of group 4 were significantly lower than that of group 1, except for at 42-day-age(P<0.05), the opposite of MDA (P<0.05). From 33-day-age, the contents of IgA, IgG and IgM of group 4 were higher than that of group 1, but no statistically significance (P>0.05). The weights of thymus and bursa of Fabricius of group 4 were lower than that of group 1(P<0.05). 2.Compared with group 4, TL and the activity of SOD of group5 and 6 were obvious higher except at 42-day-age(P<0.05). The opposite of MDA . The contents of IgA, IgG and IgM of group 5 and 6 were higher than that of group 4, but no statistical significance(P>0.05). The weights of thymus and bursa of Fabricius of group 5 ,bursa of group 6 was significantly highter than that of group 4 at 30,33,36-day-age respectively (P<0.05),but no obvious difference between group 5 and group 4(P>0.05).The weight of thymus of group 5 at 30,36-day-age and group 6 except for at 39-day-age were higher than that of group 4.(P<0.05). But all determined items ,there had no significant among group 5,6and 1(P>0.05). Compared with group 5, the activity of SOD at 39-day-age, the contents of MDA at 42-day-age and Thymus at 30,36-day-age of group 6 were significantly(P<0.05). The results of experiment indicated that RNA could improve the immunity function of chickens infected by IBDV. 3.Compared with group1,TL and the activity of SOD of group2 and group 3 were statistically higher in most determined days(P<0.05), the opposite of MDA ,the contents of IgA,IgG and IgM were higher than that of group 1(P<0.05),but no statistical differnce between group 2 and group 3,the weights of bursa of Fabricius at 30,33,36-day-age and of group 3 at 30,33-day-age were obviously higer(P<0.05),and the weights of thymus...
