Machine-building terrace can be used to prevent runoff and sediment yield, to create the good ecological environment and to increase crop output according to practice. To predict accurately the dynamic movement of soil water is a key for high-efficient use of soil water. Soil water movement is studied by building mathematical model and by the finite element analysis under two-dimensional rainfall infiltration and evaporation for the machine-building terrace in this thesis. The Temperature Fields of ANSYS SOFTWARE is used to make the solution. The predicted computer numerical simulation result is same as measured laboratory verification, evaporation of the ridge influences soil water of terrace much, especially nearer to the ridge. Vaporizing for 20 days can influences twenty centimeter area from the ridge. Although soil water movement is researched with rainfall once a time in this thesis, the dynamic analysis of soil water movement can be made by using Fields of ANSYS SOFTWARE with rainfall of times, There for this study has the value the further and research of soil water movement.
