The Research On Ecological Service Function Of Urban Forest In Guangzhou City

As the elementary producer of the urban ecological system, urban forest plays important roles to the sustainable development of city. Maintaining and improving ecological service function is the basis of sustainable development of city.This essay overviewed the present researching status and the development trend of ecological service function at home and abroad. Under the guide of the theory of forestry, aesthetic, ecology, it investigated social economics, natural geography, environmental quality and construction status of urban forest in Guangzhou City. To meet the requirement of building the city of Guangzhou into "forest surrounding city and city lies in the middle of forest" ecosystem metropolis, this essay studied the related theory of urban forest ecological service function, the evaluating indicator and assessment method of it in Guangzhou City and studied how to play the various ecological service value well.(1) It analyzed the theoretical basis of ecological service function of urban forest; considered that the ecosystem stability, landscape distribution and the type of urban forest influenced its value. It has the functions of improving urban microclimate, maintaining the balance of CO2 and O2, releasing the heat island effect and greenhouse effect, preventing and reducing pollution, disaster relief, keeping biodiversity, cultural education, landscape tourism and industrial economy.(2) According to the characteristics of urban forest, it discussed the evaluating indicator and assessment method of ecological service function value and evaluated the ecological service functions of urban forest of Guangzhou City quantitatively. The result of the total value is 31.098 × 108 yuan · a^-1, which shows the necessity to improve the ecological service function because of the weak holding capacity to the environment.
