It bring more and more attention to use spectral to detect the chemical elements of the plant quickly and non-destructly, but there weren't research reports on the fresh tobacco leaf. The paper analysis and research all kinds of typical spectral characteristic of the tobacco leaf by the field and lab experiment in the 2003 and 2004, and analysis the correlativity between the quality indexes and the spectral variable, and establish the tobacco leaf nutritional detected model. The main results are:1. The tobacco leaf of different nitrogen level, different vegetal period, different position , different variety have typical spectral characteristic, one of the main reasons is the different nutrition level, especially the influence of the nitrogen. These differences of the spectral characteristics are the foundation of the non-destructive testing technology of the tobacco leaf quality.2. There exists distinct correlation or terribly distinct correlation between the nitrogen content and the nicotine content, the potassium content, as is the base to use spectral to estimate the tobacco leaf quality.3. To establish the correlativity curve between reflectivity spectral and nitrogen content, nicotine content, potassium content, reducing sugar content, and so on. And found and analysis the sensitive wave band to diagnose the content of the nitrogen, nicotine, potassium and reducing sugar. During 360~430nm wave band, there exists distinct positive correlation or terribly distinct positive correlation between the spectral reflectivity and the potassium content, during 700~730nm wave band, there exists distinct negative correlation between the spectral reflectivity and the potassium content; during 440~500nm wave band, there exists distinct positive correlation between the spectral reflectivity and the reducing sugar content; during 400~740nm wave band, there exists terribly distinct negative correlation between the spectral reflectivity and the nitrogen content and the nicotine content.4. To use spectral index establish the spectral diagnose model of the nitrogen content, nicotine content and the potassium content, and there exists terribly distinct negative correlation between the spectral index PPR (Ratio Plant Pigment Index) and NRI (Ratio Nitrogen Index) and the nicotine content and the nitrogen content, there exists terribly distinct positive correlation between the spectral index NRI (Ratio Nitrogen Index ) and the potassium content.5. To check the precision of the nitrogen diagnose model that is established in 2003 by the data of 2004, the multiple correlativity coefficient r=0.6935** (n=20) , to reach the terribly distinct positive correlation level.6. There exists distinct correlation or terribly distinct correlation between SPAD value and the tobacco leaf quality indexes, to establish the diagnose model of the tobacco leaf quality indexes by using the correlation between SPAD value and the tobacco leaf quality indexes; there exists terribly distinct positive correlation between the SPAD value and the nitrogen content(r = 0.97**), the precision of using SPAD diagnose the tobacco leaf nitrogen content non-destructively in the field is exact and feasible, the multiple correlativity...
