The study was mainly performed using 242 (slaughter 27) Large white and 159 (slaughter 38) zhongxu Black pigs on swines. The genetic variations of H-FABP gene and CAST gene were detected by PCR-RFLP. Twelve meat quality traits of slautered pigs were measured and analysed. Furthermore, relation of the genotypes including H-FABP and CAST with meat quality were investigated respectly, Results showed as follows:1 , There are polymorphims in all site in H-FABP gene in two breeds. The frequencies of H allele of HinfI site in Large White and zhongxu Black were 0.7273 > 0.8578 respectively; The frequencies of D allele were 0.7480 and 0.5881 respectively of HaeIII-RFLP polymorphic site; The frequencies of B allele were 0.5889 and 0.5943 respectively of Hinfl*- RFLP polymorphic site. In the CAST gene, The frequencies of C allele of Mspl site in Large White and zhongxu Black were 0.6921 and 0.5283 respectively; The frequencies of F allele were0.5889 and 0.5943 respectively of HinfI-RFLP polymorphic site.2, H-FABP gene(l)The Hinfl-RFLP significantly influenced on IMF of Large white; The Hinfl -RFLP significantly influenced on Marbling of Large white.(2) The Hinfl- RFLP significantly influenced on SFV of zhongxu Black;(3) Being on whole experimental pigs: The Hinfl - RFLP significantly influenced on IMF; The haploidy of hh-DD-BB has hingest IMF, and Hh-DD-BB has least SFV.3, CAST gene(1) The MspI - RFLP significantly influenced on SFV of Large white.(2) Being on whole experimental pigs: The MspI- RFLP significantly influenced on IMF, The haploidy of DD-FF have the hingest IMF and the least SFV.4,The correlation amongst meat quality traitsMarbling has positive correlation with IMF and PHU significantly (P<0.01) ; Marbling has negtive correlation with SFV significantly (P<0.01) ; IMF has negtive correlation with SFV signify-cantly (P<0.05) and WM (P<0.01) ; SFV has negtive correlation with pH1 significantly (P<0.05) .As a whole, this study provided an elementary foundation the for investigating whether H-FABP locus is the candidate gene for IMF deposition and CAST locus is the candidate gene for tendrness in Large white and zhongxu Black.
