YinDaRuQin irrigation project is a large scale diverted water project , locates in north of LanZhou city, Gansu province, and its irrigation District is mainly concentrated in QingWangChuan basin, with 2800km2 drainage area. The design runoff is 32m3/s. According to the design arrangement, 0.443 billion cubic meter water will be diverted per year. After implementing water-saving irrigation in this area, 979.73 thousand Mu irrigation area will be available, the water-shorting situation of QingWangChuan basin will be greatly changed, the status quo of water resources utilization and eco-environment in this area will be improved. In the paper, hydrological geology status quo, climate, hydrology, topography and land feature, geologic and hydrogeologic in the irrigation district are illuminated on the base of collecting the hydrological and geological data on groundwater in south of QingWangChuan basin, surveying the geology and experimenting both outdoor and indoor. Besides, the impact of the irrigation leakage and water table evaporation on groundwater supply is analyzed.Based on the balance principle of water, balance calculation andevaluation of groundwater resources and the dynamic variation rules are analyzed, moreover, a united manipulation model is established. So it' s possible to forecast the dynamic motion rule of groundwater, the region and scale of the saline soil occurred, and to study secondary saline soil in south of QingWangChuan basin based on the theory offered in the paper.
