In the north of China, northern agriculture-animal husbandry ecotone, where the favorable growing season and heat for corn are restricted. In seeding season, the soil moisture in the surface layer is too low to satisfy the seed germination. Under these circumstances, this dissertation mainly studied relationship between the silage yield and nutrition content of the silage corn, under different irrigation-fertilization conditions, different density, and cluster-seeding. The differences of plant characteristic, leaf index trend, dry matter accumulation trends and silage yield of different silage corn hybrids that matured at different time had been analysed. The main results are as follows:1. In the process of the dry matter accumulation, the relationship between dry weight and time showed an "S" curve, which has two inflexions. After the second inflexion, the solar energy and heat were noneffective to dry matter accumulation, so the yield of the given hybrid was low. The curve of the late variety showed like a half "S", which has only one inflexion. The earlier the inflexion appeared the earlier and more quickly the seeds grew, and got higher yield.2. There were much diversity among the nutrition contents of the different hybrids. The range of the whole plant crude protein are 6.24-10.01% and 6.61-10.44% respectively(two years), the average are 7.77% and 8.23% respectively(two years). The range of the crude fattiness is 1.21%-4.22%, the average is 2.40%.The range of the no-ash ADF is 13.63%-23.19%, the average is 18.95%. And, there was no significant correlationship between the nutrition contents and yield of the silage corn.3. Density influenced the silage yield greatly. Increasing the density could help increasing the yield. The highest density got the highest yield. High-density maybe decreased the crude protein content or increased the crude fattiness content, but the differences were not significant. The most significant effect of the high density was, it increased the content of the no-ash ADF.4. In order to use the water in deeper layer of the soil, it is feasible to add the deep of the seeding to 7-11cm. The seed-quantity could be 4-6 grains per hole. Cluster-seeding inhibited the development of individuals, but benefited the group. The fresh weight and the secondary root numbers per areas were 6.5-75.1persent's high than those of equal distance planted corn. The yield were increased by 34.4%-43.9%. The dry matter accumulation was increased by 25.9%-19.7%. At the same time, the nutrition in hole-seeded corns was not lost.5. Compared with the tillering silage corn, the cluster-seeded silage corn developed better, individuals as well as groups. The secondary root numbers of individual plant, fresh weight per area and the secondary root numbers per area were all more than those of Keduo 8, and the diversity was significant or highly significant. So it's feasible to imitate the tillering silage corn by cluster-seeding single stalk corns.
