On the basis study of the former researches , the soil biology character were studied to show the mechanisms of raising crop yield after EM compost was applied in soil , the results are as follows :1 .Long term experiments showed that EM compost could increase crop yield obviously .Ten years experiments showed that average total crop yield of 1000kg/acre EM compost was higher than that of the same amount traditional compost 500kg/acre EM compost and mineral fertilizer by9.2%, 15.5%, 23.8% respectively ;500kg/acre EM compost was higher than that of the same amount traditional compost , mineral fertilizer , EM soaked seed by 7.2%, 16.7%, 72.3%respectively.2. It was showed that EM compost could upgrade soil microorganisms. In the fact of soil bacterial ,the 1000EM compost bacterial was more than other treatments by 10.6%~114.8% ; the fungi was more than other treatment by 19.4%~124.3% ; and the Actinomyces was more than 5.1%~88.7%, respectively . in a whole, EM bio-organic compost has most microorganisms in the all treatments , but traditional compost has higher quantity microorganisms than fertilizer ,and the fertilizer treatment has more than CK.3. As the decrease of the EM and organic materials, the nematode have the trend of increasing, in the larger of scale, It was showed that the EM could restrict the soil nematode.4. In the same amount of organic material level ,EM compost have more abundant protozoa than the traditional compost .further more as increasing EM and organic materials ,the soil protozoa increasing.5. In the whole year ,the average amount of earthworm in the 1000kgEM was more than others by 56.3%, 52.2%, 126.8%, 226.9%, 580.3%respectively . The variance analysis suggested that there were obvious significant variance among the treatments in P=0.01 .The traditional compost II, IVand EM compost III and fertilizer V have obviously significant among them .6. By comparison with the soil mite in 0~20 centimeter soil layer of different fertilizer, It has been showed that EM compost treatment I has higher quantity soil mites than traditional compost II as 4.7%, and EM compost treatment III has higher quantity soil mites than traditional IV as 50.5% ,and the IV has more mites than V ,as V compare with CK,there is a decreasing trend in mites.7. The soil respiration in 1000kg EM compost is the most among the treatments, 1000kg EM compost treatment and 500kg EM compost treatment have higher soil respiration than CK by 48% and 28% respectively.The results showed that, EM can improve soil biodiversity and microorganisms. The EM can optimize soil biology growth environment, meanwhile, it create good environment for crop growing, promote the matter changing speed. In the crop growth period EM afford the plant necessary nutrient in time, advance crops growth and physiological metabolisms, which resulted in increasing of crop yield remarkably.
