The experiment was conducted to study the development pattern of early digestive system in JiangQuHai meat-type line. 24 gilts born at the same day were selected within this search, while gilts were weaned at day 45. From birth to 75 days of age, 4 gilts were slaughtered every 15 days, blood samples were collected 4 times from precava at 1 hour interval before slaughter. After slaughter, pancreatic and intestinal chyme were collected to observe digestive enzyme activity. The tissue samples taken from stomach, live, pancreatic, duodenum, jejunum, ileum in each gilt were treated into slide to determine the morphological changes. The weight of digestive organ and pH value in different parts of stomach and small intestine were measured. Blood samples were also analyzed. The results show:1. The weights of the digestive organs in JiangQuHai meat-type line were coincided with that of body weight in early stage. According to the allometry model(y=axb), the prematurity sequence of digestive organ was live(0.7933)→JeJunum(0-8375)→duodenum(0.8383)→ileum(0.9111)→pancreatic(0 .9896)→stomach (0.0735)→rectum(1.1215)→colon(1.3649)→ cecum( 1.3685). Three kind of regressions (Qua, Cub, Pow)can indicate the coefficient between the changes of the digestive organs and growths of the body weights. And the coefficients of determination(R2) between the weights of the liver and the body weights were the highest than that of other digestive organs.2. The pH value in stomach of JiangQuHai meat-type line decreased significantly among 75 days of age, averaged from 4.89 ± 0.27 to 2.79± 0.51. And weaning increased the pH value in some gilts. The pH value in duodenum decreased with the gilts growing up. No obvious pH value changes were observed in the in jejunum and ileum, and no effects on pH value by weaning were observed.3. The activities of amylase, trypsin in pancreatic, duodenum, jejunum and ileum were coincided with the bodyweight. The maxium chymotrypsin activity appeared at the15s day of age, and then declined. Weaning had a distinctive impact on the activity of digestive enzyme.4. The levels of hormones changed regularly in early stage of JiangQuHai meat-type gilts. At birth time, the concentrations of T3, T4 and SS were at a higher level while declining with growing. The levels of GH and Gas have a regular changes in early stage. There were significant correlations among digestive organs development, some blood biochemical indexes and the levels of hormones.5. At birth, serum AKP, TP and UR were higher than those at other days . Serum Amy and A increased significantly from birth to 75 days of age, while activities of GOT and GPT peaked at 30 days of age.6. The JiangQuHai meat-type pigs at birth were characterized with long, separated villus on the surface of intestinal wall, while becoming short and rough after weaning. The stomach crypts was underdeveloped. With the time going on, the depth of stomach lining and muscle increased significantly. Pancreatic and liver had developed soundly in the new-bom gilts.
