| For many years.yield of hybrid rice has no great improvement because of lacking effective method to predict heterosis in the early generation and enhance the combining ability and agronomic trait at the same time .We design the combination screening method for restorer breeding after having learned from gamete selection which is successfully used in maize breeding . In this study ,ten F, obtained form six restorer lines and two CMS were used .The result were as follows :(1) By using the combination screening method ,Combining ability and agronomic trait can be improved at the same time .Moreover ,it is an effective method for early generation selection and restorer breeding .(2) During screening the test cross variety ,grain weight of selected plant is the firstable factor which must be considered, then average grain weight of total plant and other traits. While panicles per plant is the most important trait during selecting in F2 of the test cross variety.(3) In two series of test cross variety , Feng-You-QingF5/9965, Er-You838F5/9 965,Er-You838F5/Zi-62 have great value for selecting of new restorer lines withbetter combining ability and agronomic traits;Feng-You-QingF5/9965, Feng-You-QingF/725, 9965/725 have great value for selecting of new restorer lines with better combining ability and quality traitsObviously, Feng-You-QingF5/9965 combination is the best one not only for agronomic and quality traits but also for combining ability. |
