As a part of the Sino-Australian project "ACIAR 961/143 Sustainable Mechanized Dry-land Grain Production",this thesis is to study mechanism and influence factors of ground wheel slide.Firstly,testing method of ground wheel slide is designed. Secondly,analyzing force on ground wheel indicates that wheel slide can be influenced by ground wheel structure parameters,such as its vertical load,width,diameter,and height of clutching board. According to this,a set of ground wheel equipment is designed to measure ground wheel slide.A software system based on virtual instruments is developed. It can automate the acquisition,processing and analysis of data.By the experiments on iron ground wheel,a Linear Regress Equation is developed. Data analysis shows that the factors which influence the slide of ground wheel include wheel vertical load and height of clutching board. With the increase of vertical load and height of ground wheel,ground wheel slide can be reduced. Comparison of slide of iron wheel and rubber wheel shows that slide of rubber ground wheel is less than that of the latter.
