Study On The Biological Characteristics And Genetic Diversities Of Wild Yak And Domestic Yak And Their Hybrid

To study further the biological characteristics and genetic diversities of wild yak and domestic yak and their hybrid, the living weight gain and body size of wild yak (WY, 1 year old) and Datong yak (DI, 1 years old) from Datong County of Qinhai Province , and Tianzhu black yak (TZ, 1 years old) from Tianzhu County of Gansu Province were measured and some blood physiological parameters were also determined The experiments were divided into three periods in a year.Also, nine microsatellite loci and four loci of blood protein and allelic enzyme were analysised comparatively for studying the genetic structure of three populations The results showed that the head shape of yak varied significantly between WY and TZ ,and the ratio between the largest forehead width or horn site width and head length of WY were similary with European bison .The living weight and body size were different significantly among the sampling periods (p
