The drainage and water protection in cities relates to the national economy and the people's livelihood. But the premise to urban drainage is to know the laws of rainstorm clearly have a clear understanding of the laws and research of rainstorm and to find an applicable urban storm indensity formula. The storm intensity formula as a basis for drainage design formulas, and its accuracy is directly related to the infrastructure construction of urban.The purpose of this paper is to ensure the rationality and dependability of drainage project, we need to calculate the rainstorm intensity, which inquires high precision.Methods:Apply the latest fifty-four years rainstorm data of the city of X using matlab Software programming,apply the latest fifty-four years rainstorm data of the city of X.Adopt annual multiple-sampling method to collect samples and process data.Using the quasi-newton method and other five analyzing fre-quency methods to choose the minimal error margin distribution, and then calculate its i-t-p tables.Apply Surface search method, genetic algorithm, quasi-Newton algorithm, Gauss-Newton method to calculate urban rainstorm intensity formula using the i-t-p talbe.Conclusion:The method of data-processing, frequency-analysis and parameter-optimization by means of MATLAB in the Process of storm intensity formula deduction was proposed to have the advantages of less workload, close rolerance and more convenience. Practical calculation shows that storm intensity formula of higher precision,can be used as an important basis for the planning and design of urban drainage.
