Study On Wind Blown Sand Salt Expansion Characteristic Of Sulfate Salinization

There is lack of sufficiently study on the salt expansion process, salt expansion characteristic and various factors inferences the heaving rate in the coarse grain clay sulfate salty soil. We are now at the critical time of Western Development, and our country deicide to develop transportation facilities, so accurately understanding the mechanism of salt expansion is the urgent need to the constructing and development of the saline soil area engineering.In this paper, the author analyze the main character of wind blown sand in Manas and prepare the coarse grain clay sulfate salty soil models with different salt content, water content and initial dry density. The experiment designed with quadratic orthogonal regression principle, and tested the specimen under three factors and five levels of orthogonal test. Analysis the cooling process of coarse grain clay sulfate salty soil in the different water content, salt content and initial dry density. Concluding the salt expansion process and the migration of moisture within the sample under those conditions and summarizing the temperature range of dramatic salt expansion. According to the experimental data of coarse grain clay sulfate salty soil, the author presents the salt expansion rate formula of Multi-factors which related to water content, salt content and initial dry density. The salt expansion rate formula of single factor is derived from multi-factor formula, which identified the law of salt expansion rate with the changes of water content, salt content and initial dry density and calculated the value of initial swelling water ratio, initial salt content, initial dry density and critical initial dry density. It reveals the mechanism of salt expansion and the influence of various factors to the salt expansion rate. At the same time the interaction between various factors analysis of the impact, find out the laws of interaction.This provides the theories basis of putting forward more valid measure to control the salt expansion and build road in Saline land area.
