Study On Long-term Performance Of Asphalt Pavement

Highway is the aorta in China transport network of highway, it takes a large volume of traffic transportation, which requires the pavement to have a good long-term performance. At present, China's highway development has come into a stage that construction, maintenance and management are having the same status. In the stage, the construction of highway will be reduced, and maintenance will dramatically increase. Facing such a situation, We need to have an in-depth study about the performance of Asphalt Pavement Materials and Structures in the course of operation. However, the performance of Asphalt pavement is affected by many factors. Having an in-depth study of long-term performance of asphalt pavement is of great significance.In this dissertation, the study emphasis is on the pavement of expressway. With the analysis of observed data and the results of several test roads, the observed indexes of long-term performance of asphalt pavement has been fixed, which associated with the long-term performance of asphalt pavement. And it also analyzes long-term performance decay law of the main index. Besides, based on it, it establish the prediction models of rutting and roughness.The dissertation is specified into five chapters and the contents of each list in the following:Chapterâ… :It is an introduction, it presents problems, summarizes the study of long-term performance of pavement at home and abroad, and determines the main contents of this article.Chapterâ…¡:Starting from the analysis of early damage about the existing structure of asphalt pavement, it explains requirements of the long-term performance of asphalt pavement. Through the analysis of observations and research results at home and abroad, it determines the status of the rate of cracking, deflection, rutting, roughness and friction coefficient on the performance evaluation of long-term performance of pavement.Chapterâ…¢:Through the analysis of mechanism on pavement rutting, it selects of several factors, which is the best correlation with rutting, and establishs prediction model. By the regression analysis of the surveyed data to determine the parameter values, and finalize a rutting prediction model, and confirm the validity.Chapterâ…£:According to the analysis of the monitoring data of experimental pavement, selecting impact factors on pavement planeness, which is a main evaluation index of asphalt pavement performance, have a sensitivity analysis and establish a roughness prediction model by regression analysis, then confirm the validity.Chapterâ…¤:Summary the main points and conclusions, and propose future research ideas.
