In this paper, the characteristics of flow and heat transfer process of coal particles inside the furnace of a 450t/h CFB boiler were simulated by means of three-dimensional numerical simulation. The velocity field, temperature field, and solid concentrations of coal particles in the furnace were achieved. The tracks of coal particles were also obtained by the simulation. The effect of different particle size on the coal particles velocity field and temperature field solid were analyzed. By the numerical simulation of the heat transfer characteristics of the particles, the distributions of temperature in the furnace were investigated. The results of the study can give reference for research of the characteristics of CFB boiler.
