Exhibition building is an important building type, in today's society is also playing an important role. Transitional space is the connected space for the exhibition building, but the spatial significance far beyond its connectivity. Transitional space is a prelude to the whole space, and is also adjust the mental state of the whole space.At the exhibition, created a space for people to visit and pass is not enough, there must be a environment appropriate for the people's attention to stay, taste. All the recess, corner, colonnade, entry, open space, small outdoor cover half the transitional environment in the exhibition space, which is appropriate for a short period of rest, and reduce the visual fatigue in the exhibit.Describe spatial characteristics with light plays an important role. To some extent, light create the space. Light not only help people raise awareness of space, but also provide people a poetic environment. Light has to play its role in the building in the history. Architecture is a profound art, different building types of space use of light have different emphases.With the design of human development, there is growing emphasis on experience, emotional, artistic conception of space, this paper based on the summarize of the transition space's development and the change of concept, to study and discuss the light environment of the transition space in the exhibition building. This paper focuses on the different types of the transition space in the exhibition building and how to use a good light environment to demonstrate the emergence of high tide for the whole space bedding, increase the space of interest, and create a good mood for the people, make it more suitable for people crossing, presence and interaction.
