With the development of modern industry and people's lift standard, the structure of product has been more and more complex and the safety of product has been got more concern than before, so weather could improve the safety of product effectively by improve some critical components has been a important issue.In this paper, a complete method about how to quantitatively evaluate the safety of the critical components is support, this research is based on the theory of critical component and some of new study of safety research, first use FMEA and other tools to identify the hazard condition of product during the whole life cycle of product, and then are used Coefficient of crucial importance to confirm the degree influence of hazard state which lead by the changes in components failure probability. Based upon above research, took into account the failure probability of components would be change when the time change and also would be influenced by the interaction between components, then are used components time characteristic of failure probability and correlation to adjust the degree of safety-critical, thereby we could get the safety critical index which change with time-vary, In the whole life cycle use these index to get the sort of components, In order to provide the reference for product design and maintenance.
