Self-anchored suspension bridge, as a rapidly developed type of bridge in recent years, are widely concerned by the designers because of its unique advantage, especially in the district with high demands of ground conditions or remarkable shape. In this paper, based on a self-anchored suspension bridge under construction, the computing method of configuration of main cable is proposed and some basic theory of construction control are introduced and an optimization method, based on optimization principles, is provided in the hanger-tensioning construction.(1) That the calculation of the configuration of main cable is the first step in construction control of self-anchored suspension bridge. The numerical methods according to the data provided by the design units are introduced in this paper. Firstly the final bridge line is calculated then the non-stress length of main cable, empty cable shape, and the coordinates of hanging point. An iterative methods based on the finite element software is proposed to calculate the state of the empty cable in this paper.(2) At first, the objectives, contents and methods of construction control should be made clearly. Some theories of error analysis, parameter identification and state adjustment as well as the applications of these theories in the construction control of self-anchored suspension bridge are introduced in the adaptive control method.(3) Optimization analysis of hanger-tension of self-anchored suspension bridge with non-pre-bias of cable-saddle, which take advantage of the Matlab programming software, are proceeded in this paper based on control theory and optimization theory. It can reduce the blindness in the construction of the hanger-tension to some extent.(4) Finally, a finite element model with the optimal results is established by using finite element software Midas/Civil to simulate the construction processes of hanger-tension. The results have showed that the results of optimization meet the simulated construction requirements efficiently.
