The middling and small span concrete beam bridge has occupied larger proportion in the highway.Owing to unfavorable circumstance,structure aging,vehicle weight increasing and lack of maintaining,there exist inevitably structural defects in some existing bridges.The existing bridges were active demand strengthened.How carry on reasonable reinforcement choice of scheme to existing bridge,make the fund give play to the greatest benefit,it is an important subject needing solving properly to make the bridge geting the most effective reinforcement to safeguard at the same time.This paper as an important component of the highway strengthening technical specification of the Ministry of Communications and as background of the existing bridges of liaoning Province,carried out generalizing the state-of-the -art on the strengthening technique on the basis of documentations of home and broad.Basing on the 593 strengthened bridges which occupied in 3292 existing bridges in liaoning Province,the currently reinforce methods were given from sort out data's,and then the reinforce characteristic,range and adaptable were generalized;this paper basing on the experiments for 18 models of RC-rectangle beam bridge,estimation calculation of the different calculation formula of FRP strengthening,obtain the best calculation formula which basing on the contrasting analysis of calculation results and experiment results;the ultimate formula were given basing on the best calculation formula;compute the strength exaltation that the different structure form adoption different reinforces methods on the foundation of the existing normal charts,pass the contrast analysis,carry on reinforcing the adaptability valuation to the bridge of the different structure form,the exaltation rage scope were obtained.This paper putting forward the exaltation rage scope of reinforce methods which contrasting the part of indoor model experiments and experimental results which fitting together better.So the research productions could been guidelines for retrofit designed of the middling and small span concrete beam bridges.
