Rutting is one of the most dangerous and prominent damage types on the asphalt pavement in high-grade highway in our country at present.The emergence of the rutting not only seriously affected the functional quality and the service life of the pavement,but also was a serious threat to the traffic safety.Therefore,how to predict the rutting effectively has become a problem which needs to resolve urgently.This paper presents a method of rutting prediction of asphalt pavement based on the creep test under repeated loading to predict the degree of the rutting,thereby to guide the maintenance and repair of asphalt pavement.This paper was based on the actual research.According to the results of the creep test under repeated loading,it can really reflect the mechanical parameters of asphalt mixture. Combined with the results of the laboratory rut test,the rutting prediction model was established.And the efficiency of the combined structure of the specimens was verified.The results show that the error range of the forecast model is so small that it can be used to predict permanent deformation of asphalt concrete.Based on the discussion of rutting equivalent temperature at home and abroad,the new type of rutting equivalent temperature model was developed according to the rutting prediction model and equivalent principle of rutting damage.Then the local rutting equivalent temperature was calculated by applying the model in three different areas.And based on the results of the actual traffic volume,the concept and the calculation method of the equivalent load numbers were proposed.Combination with the actual survey data,the rutting prediction model was modified.And the rutting prediction model which was suitable to the actual pavements was established.The results indicate that the established estimation model in this study is reasonable and posses a certain accuracy.
