In order to alleviate the urban traffic pressure, more and more cities begin building underground-highway. some even build overpass under the ground, that is building underground interchange tunnels. Different from building a single tunnel, building interchange tunnels will encounter many Problems that does not exit during building a single runnel. Furthermore, the underground interchange tunnels is at its early stage, so corresponding design and construction experiences are seriously penurious. Based on the National High Technology Research and Development Program ("863 "Program) of China, this paper carry out the research on the form and construction mechanics of bifurcation part of the underground interchange tunnels.First of all, through the investigation and the simulation method, two kinds of branching form and the corresponding conditions needed of the underground interchange tunnels are systematically introduced in the paper, some important parameters are given in the paper.Secondly, through the finite element numerical analysis, study the construction mechanical interaction of the main tunnel and ramp tunnel of non-symmetry small spacing tunnel. Finally, analyze the deformation and stress characteristic of the planar crossing tunnel by the finite element simulation in the construction course.
