The excellent seismic performance of steel reinforced concrete(SRC) structure and the fast development of high strength and high performance concrete(HSHPC) will promote the application of HSHPC to SRC structures in the future. For complicated mechanical property and construction of frame, and concrete brittleness caused by high strength, the theoretical studies of steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete(SRHSHPC) frame lag engineering application, and the studies on seismic behaviors and restoring force model of them are few at home and abroad presently. This paper focuses on residual ultimate strength and stiffness degradation of SRHSHPC frame structure.A specimen of 'weak-beam strong-column' SRHSHPC frame of two-bay and three-story is tested under the cyclic load to study the mechanical properties, including crack development, failure modes, deformation characteristics, ductility indexes, energy dissipating capacity,etc..According to the hysteresis curves and skeleton curves from experiment, the restoring force characteristics and seismic bearing capacity of SRHSHPC frame structures are analyzed.Based on the experimental research, the damage properties of SRHSHPC frame structures are discussed.Using Matlab program, the damage process of a three-storey single-span high-strength high-performance concrete frame is simulated. The results show that SRHSHPC frame structures have good seismic behaviors, strong energy dissipation and ductility. The research results will provide experimental and theoretical foundation for the elastic-plastic dynamic analysis, design and calculation of SRHSHPC frame structures, and will promote the development and application of this kind of excellent seismic structure.
