The magnetic suspension motor is a new type of high speed motor which hybridizes the motors and the magnetic bearings.It has been the focus of research work on high speed motors since 1990's.And the magnetic suspension induction motor is one of the earliest motors on which is researched,because of its easy field weaken,simple structure and high reliability.In this paper,the working principle and the mathematical modelof the magnetic suspension motor was introduced.By comparing three commonly used control systems,it came to a common ground for the structure of magnetic suspension motor digital control system.It was important for research and implementation of the Digital Control System for the magnetic suspension motor.Then,focusing on the control method Based on space voltage vector pulse width modulation of the direct torque control(SVM-DTC) the control scheme for torque windings and suspension windings were given in detail.The interaction between the two sets of windings determined that the magnetic induction motor is a strong-coupling multi-variable nonlinear system,therefore,the digital control system,not only able to complete decoupling of complex operations, and has a strong real-time processing capabilities.Digital control system will become an effective means to high-performance magnetic suspension control technology.Based on introduction of structure and control strategy of magnetic suspension motor,the hardware of the digital control system based on a fixed-point digital signal processor TMS320F2812 and complex programmable logic device(CPLD),as well as the software,were discussed detaily.The research shows that the digital control system can not only meet with the requirements of a high-speed magnetic bearing system,and it is very convenient to use in any advanced control layout for futher teaching and reseachment.
