The induced voltage,circulating and fault ground current in sheaths of the one and two-circuit arranged cable are calculated and analyzed theoretically in this paper.The scientific and logical schemes of the cable ground system are present.A software package with friendly human-machine-interface for calculation the induced voltage, circulating and fault ground current in cable sheaths is developed.Taken a design project of a HV cable as an instance,the induced voltage,circulating and fault ground current is studied by means of the software package.The computer data acquisition and monitor system of induced voltage,circulating current along power cable sheaths is developed,By analysis and comparison of induced voltage and the ratios of the circulating current to operating current,a lot of alarm parameters are obtained,and the on-line monitoring to the insulation of the sheaths is achieved.
