Automobile NVH performance is the important guideline of automobile quality. With the developing of science and technology, light body and high-power engine is becoming the trend of present-day automobile design, thus engine is becoming one of main vibrations and noises. Rational design of the engine mounting system to improve riding comfort of automobile is the key technology.In the first place, reference on basic domestic and foreign literature, this paper set up engine mounting system dynamic model, and deduce the dynamic equations which solved by modal superposition method and Newmark method.Secondly, based on researching vibration isolation principle of engine mounting system, a practical optimal design is done, which takes reasonable distribution of natural frequency, uncoupling of energy and minimum of vibration transmissibility as general object. Center of percussion theorem and elasticity center method are used to optimize the location of mounting system. Robust optimization which includes energy method and Pareto Genetic Algorithm is proposed to optimize mounting stiffness. Reliability analysis is made to ascertain the reliability of the optimization results. The isolating performance of optimized engine mounting system has been improved.Finally, this paper set up the design process of engine mounting system. And a set of software named Engine Mount Design used for performance analysis and optimization design of engine mounting system is been established. It makes the design process easy and efficient, and it can reduce the research costs.
