With the development of our economy , the demand for energy has also increased. Energy is becoming increasingly serious. The slather of traditional energy resources brings us lots of austere environment and social problems. People not only achieve to save energy furthest, but also start to research and use renewable energy actively.Wind energy resources which is an important clean renewable resource get more and more application because of its ripe technology.Whether to site wind farms in a region depends on its wind energy reserves. So it is crucial to survey wind energy resource for an area correctly and objective. The object of research is the Yellow River Delta. The object of research is the Yellow River Delta. The main parameters of wind energy resources of the Yellow River Delta are calculated by the observation data of meteorological station. In order to further the develop and utilize wind energy resources ,new wind energy resources method is used to simulate wind in the region. The achievements of this thesis are as follows:[1] On the basis of the fundamental theories and methods of wind energy resources, the author summed up three kinds of wind energy evaluation method. After evaluating these methods, the author decides to do some research on wind energy resources at the Yellow River Delta using the observation data of meteorological station and numerical models method.[2] Hours of effective wind speed, the average wind direction frequency, the average wind power density of meteorological stations and wind energy reserves at the height of 10 meters in the study area are calculated based on the observation data of meteorological stations and some other observation data from 1971 to 2007.[3] MM5 model is one of the most successful and integrated models, and it is also a macro-scale meteorological model. Wind field of the Yellow River Delta from January 2007 to December 2007 is simulated by MM5 model. The results show that the model simulates approximately the main characters of wind field on the complex topography of the region, such as sea-land distribution. The distribution of average wind, wind power density and wind speed variation are also simulated roughly.[4] According to the wind energy resources utilization survey of Yellow River Delta at present, some related measures of wind energy resources development and utilization are put forward, including preferent0ial policies, the development of wind turbine, to strengthen the EIA inputs and the research on marine wind energy resources.
