With the continuous improvement awareness of resources and environment by people, saving energy and reducing consumption has gradually become the development trend of machinery and equipment, but it also supplies a technological way of reducing the running costs of business. During the work of lifting equipment, the cargo is dropped driven by the mechanical potential energy after the upgrade, but free fall is not allowed, so we must consume the mechanical energy by the braking energy. In view of the work features of lifting equipment, this item adds suitable energy-storage components to the traditional power system design of lifting equipment, recovers the renewable energy of lifting equipment due to the change of potential changes and takes full advantage of it as the driving force, the recycling space is enormous. And the process of hybrid research crane tires can not only reduce operating costs, and meet the needs of the country's development strategy with important social and economic significance.At present, the tire cranes that use the source engine as a driving force are matching large capacity engine , long idle time, large weight ratio, and the efficiency of the engine has failed to play well , potential has not been fully utilized, saving space is more than 40%, and therefore the development starting point from tire cranes is appropriate. At the same time, the emergence of a new type of electronic devices—supercapacitor, that provides energy storage devices for the transformation of energy equipment in the hybrid crane tires, the power density of the supercapacitors is 10 more times than that of the batteries ,and 100 times of charge-discharge rate. To use of transient super high power characteristics of supercapacitor, avoiding the specific requirements that the engine frequently start and batteries provide instant high-power, as well as supercapacitor can also rapidly reabsorb and release electrical energy in order to save energy and reduce pollution emissions.In this paper, the study on tyre cranes introduces it's traditional structure and power system .It detailed analysis of the work of tire cranes in the process of energy transfer and its losses, proposed a tires crane energy-saving program—a hybrid technology reconstruct that configure supercapacitor as energy storage device.In this paper, crane tire hybrid energy storage configuration system, the choice of energy storage devices, power controller design, as well as the hybrid system control strategy, are all discussed in detail. Saber software is used to establish a hybrid system simulation model, a multi-program simulation, comparative analysis, and conducted small-scale hybrid system experiments, through simulation and experiments demonstrat that supercapacitor hybrid energy storage system components in the tire crane is feasible application.
