Grid is a group of technologies that sharing the resources and working together solve the problem among more than one virtual institution, which is also sharing and equal using the resources on the scalable and dynamic virtual institution. Manufacturing Grid integrates the various computing resources locating in different place to be Grid Node, which giving the enterprise a transparent and unified channel to get the service from the resources.The purpose of resource scheduling in Manufacturing Grid system is distributing the resources to different process unit through reasonable distribution, making the schedule is the best one to the enterprise, so the resource scheduling is very important to the usability of the resources. Resource scheduling in Grid system is one of NP problems, to which GA (Genetic Algorithm) has been proved to be one of the effective solutions. So the research focuses on designing a Grid resource scheduling strategy based on GA.In the very beginning, the theories of Grid and Manufacturing Grid have been studied, then analyzing the frame and the future of this field.After this, the Biology Principles, the features and procedure of GA have been researched, which is the advantage for GA to solve the problem of resource scheduling. Then the requirement and brightly future useness of Grid technology have been studied focuse on the Manufactureing field.The work below has been done: according to the actual subject in the field of manufacturing, constructing a resource scheduling model to search the best program based on GT4 Grid platform, giving the programming solution based on GA for the real problem. Using Visual Modeler generate the code of the resource. Between the Middleware and Database, a web service has been added,which is used to give the user a friedly and simply interface to search the result of the scheduling. The experimental results have showed that the resource scheduling based on GA is feasible and effective for the enterprise find the best solution.
