In the digital information age, the information revolution formed by the computer and Internet as the core technology, which has a profound impact on the development of the world. And accompanied by the rapid progress of information technology, the research of architectural esthetics and design theory will have the new transformation along with it. So the architectural design in future will no longer be the play of mass in light, but also the play of digital information in physical space.Sothat,these"digital information"embodied into the highly integration and the interaction physical equipment——the multimedia devices. While they're implanted into the architectural space by the designer, through which enable the building expressions a dynamic change, and the spatial function a flexible expand, so the"multimedia"has become a"living"exchange organ of the building, by which the human exchange the rich information with the architectural space environment, so almost the every interface of building evolved into an important part of the information flow.This will also rise to new forms of buildings and the new ways of special use, so the purpose of this article is going to research how multimedia devices as a brand new method and medium,to creat an humanized architectural space environment which got a special characteristic of the information age, as well as studying the specific methods of the multimedia devices application and the integrated design approachs corresponding.Thereby, establishing the new design idea and the awareness is a positive view to respond the development of the information age.The article firstly researches the basic relations between the human and architecture by a perspective of the communication-knowledge. Explained the buildings itself understood for a highly integrated information field, which including three main aspects of the function information, the aesthetics information and the significance information. When architectural space environment face its audiences' time namely launches a succession of information transmitting process. The physical space of the buildings and the environment formed itself is not only the content of such information but also the transmitting medium. Thus the application of multimedia devices, because it could expand the information capacity of the architecture, at the same time the multimedia devices can also strengthen the architecture's transmission capacity.So that, the buildt architectural space environment could have a more profound communication with people who use them.Then under the information age's new views of new technology, culture, values, aesthetics and so on, to elaborate the social significance of the design and development trends while the multimedia device integrated into the architectural space.Secondly, establishing the design methods how the multimedia devices integrated into the architectural space environment,and it's just about the application level that the multimedia devices integrated into the physical space.From the exterior (expressing the function information) to the interior (expressing the aesthetics information),got two primary coverages,"the Media Facades"and"the Interactive Space".
