Building Renewal Study And Design Practice For Rural Residence

Since the beginning of Reform and Opening-up, With the economic and cultural development of the high-speed , and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, in China's vast rural areas have emerged in a construction fever, with a large number of rural residential construction. Because of the change of social & family structure, policies and systems, economic levels, ethics and moral, values, cultural life and many other factors, these new rural residential buildings have shown a lack of unified planning, the lack of professional guidance, single form, a loss of regional characteristics, serious waste of resources, thus also undermined the traditional rural villages original form, showing a very chaotic situation.It is an indisputable fact that traditional settlements need to protect and develop, traditional houses need to continue and update. However, "development" and "updated" how to proceed and which strategy should be taken has troubled academic years. Especially today , as the "new countryside" in the country in full swing. The old problem has become a new focus, concerned about by many people. This shows that the study of renewal research in rural residential buildings are imminent and of great importance.In fact, Academics have done something to solve this problem. Since the early 1990s, researchers began to go to some villages to do some investigation. Through the efforts of different ways, they did some design practice against different types of traditional village houses throughout the country. The background and the concepts of these researchers are not the same. They did the practice in different modes of operation. Even effective evaluations on their research are so different, but it is trials that the experts and scholars have tried to do. They open a research vision and have significance of great inspiration.Through the analysis and evaluation of these practice exploration, this paper also attempts to summarizes universal rules in the traditional village housing renewal practice, combining universal rules with southeast Hubei area present situation, then will do some exploration research on renewal problems in southeast Hubei area and attempt to get some exploration conclusions, and try to use some of the conclusions in the renewal design of settlement and buildings in southeast Hubei area. Finally this paper will elaborate some forecasts on regeneration of rural residential buildings.
