The fluid loop system of space station is one of the most important active thermal control techniques on space station. The fluid is forced to flow circularly in the settled pipeline by the lift of pump, to achieve the heat-inhale in the heating position and heat-discharge in the cooling position, and to proceed the adjustable heat transfer by adapting the variation of work condition.During the space station's long-time running in the orbit, the fluid loop system will get out of order possibly due to some factors, which will affect the thermal control balance of the whole fluid loop system and affect the normal work of the astronaut and the device instrument. For instance, the external fluid loop system is liable to suffer the strike of meteor, which result in the leak of pipe and then affect the thermal characteristics of the whole fluid loop system.Considering the mature of technique, we research the single-phase fluid loop system (the fluid maintains constant phase in the whole course of heat transfer). From the angle of the fluid flow and heat transfer, we analyze the thermal characteristics evolving rule of the leaky pipe: the temperature and pressure distribution of the simple fluid loop system, when it occurs steady leak; the leaking aperture and position's impact on the thermal characteristics of the whole fluid loop system; the unsteady leak of the simple fluid loop system; the steady and unsteady leak of series and parallel fluid loop system; the main leak and the branch leak's comparison of the parallel fluid loop system, the leaking aperture's impact on the branch leak of parallel fluid loop system.Through the thermal characteristics analysis of fluid loop system with leak accident, we get the steady leak and unsteady leak persistent time, and then determine the maintenance and repair feasibility on the orbit. If not realized, we can do the most possible work and then return to earth surface according to the limited time.Based on the theoretical analysis, we analyze the thermal characteristics of fluid loop system with leak accident numerically by FORTRAN, which has some reference value to the fluid loop technique on space station.
