The miniaturization is one of important developing directions of MassSpectrometer (MS). In recent years, MS miniaturization technology has been widelystudied both at home and abroad. Considerable progress has been made in variousaspects. At present, miniature MS has played a significant role in lots ofspecial-purpose analytical domains, and has rapidly expanded its market. But for thelack of homemade minitype MS, those who need it have to equip themselves withimport instruments. Nowadays, the center-end and low-end mass analyzer marketfaces a transition period changing the large-scale mass analyzer to the miniature massanalyzer. So the research on miniaturization of mass spectrometer has a greatsignificance to the development of mass spectrometer industry in our country.On the foundation of previous studies, this thesis proposes two methods ofminiaturization mass analyzers, and discusses their feasibilities and technical routes.One is to use frequency scanning mode digital rectangular wave as the driving voltageof the quadrupole mass analyzer to realize its miniaturization. This way does not needhigh-voltage, and brings a broad application prospect in field and real-time detectionwhile coupling with gas chromatography. Another method is to miniaturize the novelelectrostatic field Fourier transform orbital trap– Orbitrap. It has been confirmed thatmini FTMS maintains high resolution and accurate qualitative ability by analyzing theprinciple of Orbitrap and simulating the minisized Orbitrap electric field. In addition,non-evaporable getter (NEG) vacuum pump has also been studied. This type of pumphas many advantages: no movable parts, renewable, free from pollution, strongabsorption of gas, durative ready condition and so on, which makes it a best choicefor portable mass spectrometer.Based on the work above, the mechanism designs of the two kinds of miniaturemass analyzers and NEG vacuum pump have been made. And also the scanningfrequency mode square-wave power source of quadrupole mass analyzer has beeninvestigated, simulated and tested. All those have provided technical supports for thedevelopment of miniature mass spectrometer.
