Start process of 600MW turbine made by Harbin Turbine Company is optimized inthis paper. The speed of steam temperature rising in start process is analyzed anddiscussed. And according this, thematching of steam temperature and metal temperatureis calculated in order tooptimize the start process. Convection hot coefficient of the startprocess is also calculated with formulas of different countries and companies and theyare compared. The stress of the rotor should be monitored and Crank-Nicolsonfinite-difference method is used to calculate the temperature field in the rotor artificiallyduring the supercritical 600MW steam turbine cold startup. Through the emulation andthe comparison with the result of finite element method, the validity of the model isverified. This method has the advantage of dealing with data fast and accurately, and thestability of the calculation is performed well.
