Theodolite measuring system(TMS),which makes use of angle measuring device,thoedolite,get three dimension(3D) information of the target through space intersection measurement of combined model. It has such advantage: high speed and accuracy of test and measurement; a large range of measurement; the data can easy to be processed automatically. Therefore, TMS is widely used in manufacturing and producing.Based on the requirement of on-field large-scale measurement, we analyze the development of Mobile space 3-D coordinate measurement technology and study the key technologies such as TMS's calibration, data transmission between thoedolites and computer. Based on the demand of TMS's application and function and its working flow, we have designed and developed software which base on database and 3D model technology.And then we test the practicality of software and the accuracy of new method of calibrationThe main works of this paper are summarized as follows:1. Analyze the development and actuality of Theodolite Measuring System(TMS) in industrial measurement and discuss the TMS.2. Study and analyze the model of TMS and the technology of calibration, improve the model in virtue of the characteristic of new thoedolite.3. Study and analyze the technology of communication between theodolite and computer, design two way of communication based on Leica GeoCOM and MFC MSComm, realize the date transmission between theodolite and computer.4. Based on the need and working flow of industrial measurement, analyze the request of software's fuction and design the software.5. Through the experiment and data analyzing, test the accuracy of new model and analyze the elements which influence the accuracy.
