Nuozhadu hydropower station, one of whose major comprising structures is a high earth-rock dam,is the fifth huge hydropower station among the two reservoirs and eight step hydropower stations to be built on mid-down stream of Lancangjiang River. The construction process of high earth-rock dam is complex systems engineering, and several characters of it are listed as following: huge volume of filling, high intense of construction, high standard of diversion and various kinds of filling material etc. Actually, under the influences of the volume of filling, the intense of construction, the construction process etc, the filling of dam needs to be optimized based on sub-stage and zooming (SSAZ).Considering the characters of high earth-rock dam, the construction process of dam is a dynamic process altering along with time and space. In order to represent the scenes of dam rising based on SSAZ and the teamwork of construction equipments on the dam surface, choosing the method of 3d visual simulation is practical and effective.In order to represent the scenes of dam rising based on SSAZ and the teamwork of construction machinery on the dam surface of Nuozhadu project, the main contents of this thesis are summarily listed as following:Firstly, realize the digital modeling of dam surface based on SSAZ. Then further propose the digital modeling of total dam based on GIS platform, besides set the time parameter for the modeling taking surface rising restrictions into account. Finally, realize the simulated demonstration system which can simulate the rising process of dam.Secondly, study the vehicle route of two main construction machines-----dump vehicles and rollers. Base on route rule of the vehicles traveling on the dam surface; design the program which can calculate the routes according to dam surface size. The success lays a foundation for the improvement of visual simulation system, which can simulate the teamwork of construction machinery on the dam surface.Thirdly, in view of visual simulation system lacking a uniform, standard framework model, at the end of this thesis, the author inquires into the problem theoretically, and also proposes some personal perspectives and the way to design the framework.
