Weighing device is widely used in industry as a very important weighing instrument. With the improvement of modernization level of business, large numbers of weighing devices need remote operation so that people can do more complex job, such as real-time production monitoring, instrument's remote maintenance, data analysis of production. Now weighing devices mainly communicate with other devices via serial port. This approach has limitations, for example wiring and distance limitation. It cannot transfer data and maintain weighing device remotely. In order to make up the deficiency of communication by serial port, and extend weighing device's communication capability, weighing device wireless network system based on GPRS was studied and designed. It realizes process automation and office automation.The whole system is described in 3 parts. The first part introduces the weighing device wireless network system, including network architecture, principle, functions and features. Chapter 2 makes a detailed introduction to the process of data transfer and communication protocols. It also discusses system's security.The second part explains the principle and realization of weighing device's Ethernet interface. Chapter 3 describes how to embed GPRS module in weighing device. It make data transfer by network true. The key part is SIM100, and it provides wireless connectivity function. Take MCU P89C669, this paper introduces the interface circuit. MCU handles data from network by interrupt method. Data processing follows communication protocol.The third part explains the design and realization of user software. Chapter 4 describes functions, implementation and technologies used. It gives brief explanation and introduction to Server's installation and configuration. Application software develops based on J2EE, and use B/S architecture. User visit weighing device through browser conveniently.
