The Study Of Nuclear Safety Surveillance Method At Nuclear Power Plant

Nuclear safety surveillance is an important part of nuclear power plant safety management. At present, the nuclear safety surveillance system has been established in each nuclear power plan inside, but there are some differences on nuclear safety surveillance concept and management method among nuclear power plants due to the different technology and management mode. It is far away to form a standard in nuclear safety surveillance system. As follows are the most important discrepancies on nuclear safety surveillance: the concepts, the organizations, the scopes, the methods, and etc. All of these will affect the standardization in nuclear safety surveillance system.This paper will give some advice on criterion, authority and operation experience in nuclear safety surveillance system inside plants by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of different concepts, organizations, scopes and methods of safety surveillance etc. This paper will also discuss how to apply the same concept on surveillance management to form the standard surveillance management organization and to decide the surveillance scope of nuclear safety in order to achieve a high level of nuclear safety management among the different nuclear power plants. At last, some measures on safety control are recommended which was verified useful to reduce the safety risk and to improve the safety management efficiency among nuclear power plants.
