With the rapid development of highway, the improvement of the speed of vehicles, the rising trend of traffic accidents particularly the vicious, people's lives and property caused a huge loss, therefore, the traffic safety systems should be paid more and more attention. This forced people to adopt high and new technology, equipped with a variety of safety and security equipment to improve vehicle safety, reliability, to minimize accidents in vehicles. Therefore, the research on safety driving assistant system is very important.At present, the mainly sensors which the environment sensing system of safety driving assistant system used are visual, radar, lasers, inertial, and so on. In practical application, they often use a variety of sensors, and sensor fusion technology, to analysis, comprehensive and balanced the detect data, use the redundant and complementary characteristics which between data to deal with fault-tolerant, in order to achieve the needs of environmental features. But in fact, the single sensor or a different type of sensor fusion we said above may lapse in a number of environmental conditions, causing the false alarm rate and high rate of leakage police. For example, in extreme climatic conditions, or forced on the highway for road, these sensors are very easy to lapse. The latest study founds that through the comprehensive apply of vehicles wireless network communication technology, the global satellite positioning technology, can cover the issue of reliability and robustness of the traditional sensor with the environment sensing information. This can realize the true meaning adapt to different environment, the all-weather road under the conditions of safety driving assistant system.In word, this paper based on the subject of "863" National Hi-Tech Scheme Projects "Cooperative Security Control Technology of Transport targets", aimed at the international frontier, study on safety driving assistant system of highway based on vehicles wireless network communication technology. Therefore, according to the current actual situation, this paper focuses on the wireless network communication technology between vehicles and the "map matching" technology of GPS, so that each vehicle can use the Global Positioning System (GPS) which established the road to traffic as well as its relation to the location of other vehicles, real-time perception of vehicles and traffic accidents around the state, take full advantage of the road and traffic conditions so that the vehicle can alert a driver, which can be implemented through the short-distance wireless communications between the main vehicles and vehicles around. In order to provide the necessary technical reserves to applied research of Chinese safety driving assistant. The major works in the paper are following:1,By analyzing the problems of traditional sensors which safety driving assistant system used, this paper puts forward by vehicles wireless network communications, GPS positioning and electronic map-matching technology, and other related technology to realize the goal of the study on highway safety driving assistant system, described the purpose of the study and significance, and analysis at home and abroad in the relevant areas of research progress.2,Through the relevant analysis, this paper established LAN mode and the standard of related protocol of the vehicles wireless network communications, introduced the parameters of the wireless card we selected, analysis and selected the protocol of self-Ad hoc wireless network we selected. Base on this, the use of flat network technology, in Windows XP and VC++6.0 software platform environment, the development of the real-time vehicles wireless network communication software connectivity. Wireless communications network security is also a very important aspect of this paper, the use of credible third-party CA certification to ensure the security of wireless communications.3,A simple introduction of GPS positioning theory, described the technical parameters and the protocol of Leadtek 9559X, in detail optional Leadtek 9559X and technical parameters of the agreement, and developed the receive software of the corresponding GPS; In addition, this paper established a simple electronic maps, and researched on the matching of GPS location information and electronic maps.4,Analysised the characteristics and the type of China's highway accidents, select a representative of the scenes, focused on the establishment of the following model vehicles at the the confluence of highway entrance, and learn from the development of the Highway Safety Research Group assisted-for-Road model, then, put the development of the study on safety driving assistant system of highway based on vehicles wireless network communication technology to the test in the school, under the conditions of a simple low-speed road, the results show that based on vehicles wireless network communication, GPS positioning technology and the electronic map of the safety driving assistant system supporting the work of driving reliably, For vehicles to provide further security, to improve the safey of the vehicles driving on the highway.In this paper, we main researched on the vehicles wireless network communication technology, GPS and electronic maps, and other related technology to realize the safety driving assistant, and had achieved some results in the relevant research. Overall, this paper study on safety driving assistant system of highway based on vehicles wireless network communication technology remains relatively limited, although the system needs further in-depth research, but for the next phase of research and development can provide some valuable theoretical and technical support.
