Composite mortar laminate reinforced with mesh reinforcement is a new kind of material used in the strengthening of R.C. structure. The facture of Composite mortar laminate reinforced with mesh reinforcement includes three processes. First the surface of the strengthened concrete member is made rough, and then steel mesh is spread on the rough concrete surface last composite mortar is rendered on it.Using non-elastic finite element method,an appropriate numerical simulating model is established. In the model,Willam-Warnke five-parameter model simulates concrete,linear strengthened model simulating the materials of bar and angel bar. The model is fully used to carry out the numerical simulation test of strengthened members,to reconstruct the bearing process and properties,cracking occurrence and propagation of cracks and the final destructive morphology. It is found in contrast with the testing results,that the testing results are in good agreement with those calculated by the formula. Accordingly,it is one of the effective methods to recognize the strengthening mechanism and effectiveness of strengthened members.The models which focus on the numerical simulation of column and column with chamfer are established restectively, and by the comparison between the two models,it comes to the conclusion that the column behaves better than the column with chamfer. Also,by establishing the numerical simulation models with various it comes to the conclusion that the dimention of the mesh reinforcement is one of the carbianl factors,which,generally,influent on the column strengthing.By the fact that the summary studying data such as background , home and abroad research condition,The mechanism knowing that the law strengthening systematically of Composite mortar laminate reinforced with mesh reinforcement has had。(1) The enhancement of the axial compression ultimate bearing capacity of column reinforced by metal gauze and cement mortar can be attributed mainly to these two factors: the section of column was enlarged to some extent after reinforced,which improved its bearing capacity.Also,the metal gauze restricted the transverse deformation of the column generated in the loading process.In this case the concrete of the column was set to be in three face strain state,and the restricting effect increased as the load was added,hence the bearing capacity enhanced mangnificently. (2) As the transverse deformation of concrete can be restricted effectively by means of reinforcing column with metal gauze and cement mortar, the extention of micro-cracks in the concrete were suspended when the column was comprassed,which increased the rigid of the column significantly,as well as its bearing capacity and ductility.Based on the mechanics of column strengthing, the carbianl factors and the ultimate effects of strengthing, the formula is presented by the study of theory and model about column strengthing.
